The Rules Of The Game

There are an abundance of rules in lacrosse. These are primarily set up to balance the game or keep everyone out of harms way. Rules that would help balance the game would be that when someone is done with the face off, the attack can’t charge to help the middies. The ball first has to go past one sides 30 yard line. Another rule to keep balance to the game is the off sides rule. You must always have 3 people other than the goalies on one side of the field no matter what. Yet another rule to create more balance is the rule that states you can’t step on someone’s net in an attempt to kick or scoop the ball. There are a lot of rules to try to keep the players safe. Some of these rules might sound a little stupid but are there for a reason. One of these rues include that you can’t slash. A slash is when somebody winds back their stick and tries to hit a person or stick. Another rule is you can’t push someone in the back. This would be thanks to how easy back issues can occur. Yet another rule is you can’t set up a moving pick. This would be due to many people running head first into another person while they are chasing the person with the ball. Another rule to never break is that you never meet with stick if you are trying to meet with the person's body. You always make contact with your hands then spread you hands out to where the sticks is on their body. There are a bunch of rules but I have gone over the major ones.
